Overview

The HK-0687 Aviation Fuel Lubricity Tester complies with the requirements of test methods ASTM D5001-2023 and SH/T 0687. It is used to determine the wear condition of the boundary lubricity of aviation turbine fuel on the friction steel surface. The diameter of the wear scar produced on the test ball is used as a measure of the sample’s lubricity.
Lubricity is a common term describing the boundary lubrication properties of a sample. In the test method adopted by this product, the lubricity of the sample is tested under strictly specified and controlled conditions: a fixed ball is in contact with a rotating test ring wetted by the sample, and the lubricity is expressed by the diameter (mm) of the wear scar generated on the fixed ball.
