Overview
The HK-13377 Density Tester for Crude Oil and Petroleum Products (Pycnometer Method) complies with the requirements of the GB/T 13377 test method. It is applicable in the following scenarios:
- For determining the density and relative density of crude oil and petroleum products in liquid state;
- For determining solid and coal tar products, including road asphalt, wood tar, tar pitch, or mixtures with petroleum products. It is not applicable for determining the density and relative density of highly volatile liquids with a Reid vapor pressure exceeding 50kPa (0.5bar) or an initial boiling point below 40℃ as measured by GB/T 8017;
- For the precise determination of density and relative density of all products except highly viscous ones, and is particularly suitable for tests with very small sample volumes. This method is limited to liquids with a Reid vapor pressure not exceeding 130kPa (1.3bar) as measured by GB/T 8017 and a kinematic viscosity below 50mm²/s at the test temperature.
